Planter Box Mosaics

One project for improving our community and getting community involvement was the creation of mosaic stret signs by residents (particularly younger ones!)
In March 2001, we had a mosaic making day using the workshop space provided by our local Fire Station. The mosaic designs were of birds which have been seen in the area and local trees.
Unfortunately, the installation of the planter boxes took rather longer than expected, so the mosaics languished in the storage of our consultant mosaic artist, Max Marshall, until we had somewhere to put them.
At last, the mosaics were brought out and installed in time for our formal launch on 24th April 2004.
