Following the huge success of 2002's Jubilee Street party, Five Roads Forum held our (now traditional) Street Party on Sunday 14th September. To make the event as inclusive as possible, we moved the venue this year to Hastings Road near the gate closure and down into Hartington Road.
This year's theme was the Circus - so clown suits, a very impressive RingMaster, circus school, and a magician were some of the highlights of the day. Stalls included Tombola, books, face painting, coconut shy, cake sales, biscuit decorating, lucky dip and Tin Can Alley!
Everyone won a prize in the children's fancy dress parade, and there was a talent (?) show for those harbouring hidden talents. Later in the afternoon there was a chance to learn Salasa and Greek dancing. After the barbeque, the live band keep everyone dancing well into the evening.
