Street Party 2003 - a Circus

Following the huge success of last year's Jubilee Street party (over 200 residents came along) we are planning to hold another party this year on Sunday 14th September. We plan to hold the event near the gate closure in Hastings Road and down into Hartington Road. This year's theme will be the Circus - so get out your clown suits!

We will be running stalls and games for all the family, including a children's fancy dress parade,and a talent show for those harbouring hidden talents. A band will keep us dancing well into the evening and there will be a chance to learn Salasa and Greek dancing.

Once again we will be holding a barbecue and ticket prices will be pegged at £3.50 for adults and £1.50 for children and pensioners to cover the costs of food and entertainment. As with last year we will be looking for your kind donations of cakes for the cake stall and salads for the barbecue.

The other areas where help will be required are listed below. If you are able to offer help please put your name and telephone number against any event - or donate to i.e. cakes, old videos or an item for the tombola. Don't be shy this is a great way to meet people.
